Assembling the EleKtro City
When you open the box, you’ll see that the EleKtro City is already pre-assembled, with little steps left to complete it. Follow these steps and tips to assemble this EleKtro scooter properly.
- Fold the stem up, and lock it into place by putting the safety latch upwards. Take away the styrofoam and other plastic covers.
- Next, screw the bell on the brake lever’s side.
- Then, put the two handlebars. Note that it’s labelled left and right, so it’ll only fit one way. Twist the handlebar counterclockwise or towards you until it tightens completely.
- Check and set the tyre pressure to 45 PSI. Use a tyre pressure gauge to measure your tyre’s current PSI. Incorrect tyre pressure can result in a flat tyre and an uncomfortable riding experience.
Navigating the EleKtro City
After assembling your EleKtro City electric scooter and ensuring everything is screwed into place, start the e-scooter by pressing the power button for three seconds until it makes a couple of beeps and turns on.
Notice that your speed mode is set on a grey “D” by default. It’s the lowest power setting. Press the button on top of the power button to switch the mode to a purplish-coloured “D”, indicating your middle setting. Then, press it again to switch the mode into a red “D” mode, indicating your top speed mode at 25 kph.
Meanwhile, tap the power button once to turn on your front and tail lights.

Connecting the EleKtro City to the UNISCOOTER App
Despite being an entry-level electric scooter, the EleKtro City has an app that enables you to connect your ride to your smartphone. Simply scan the QR code on your user manual or go to Google Play Store to download the UNISCOOTER App.
To connect your EleKtro City to the app, open your Bluetooth connection, search for the e-scooter, and pair it with it. After pairing, you’ll see a Bluetooth logo on the e-scooter’s screen, indicating that it’s connected to your smartphone.
Using the app, you can adjust your speed mode, lock the e-scooter, unlock it, turn the headlight on and off, and more.
You can also override your top speed using the app by going to the advanced settings. However, we remind all riders to only override and use their top speed on private property. Always follow your city’s electric scooter laws when riding on public roads, footpaths, and spaces.
